New paper: “Soil organic carbon accumulation rates on Mediterranean abandoned agricultural lands” STOTEM

In this paper, led by Stephen Bell, we investigate soil carbon accrual rates following cropland abandonment in Spain. As expected, soil carbon accumulates over time, but climate and other variables seem to modulate these rates. This is the proof-of-concept for a series of papers around this topic.
